EXCITED spectators and participants packed the streets of Okehampton last Saturday as the carnival took over the town centre.

Stan Stormont, chairman of the carnival committee, said: 'It was a wonderful day, the weather was beautiful, and it really couldn't have gone any better.

As well as the procession, spectators enjoyed street entertainment from the FOOTsteps School of Dance, and youth theatre group Entertainingly Different.
