MEMORIES of times gone by were re-lived by more than 80 people at the Anchorage Centre in Tavistock last week. Everybody enjoyed an afternoon of nostalgia when the All Sorts group from Plymouth performed a medley of 1940s music. The concert party, consisting of four women and two men, dressed in costumes of the period and sang several well known songs with those watching joining in. The afternoon was arranged by Tony Siddell, a volunteer at the centre who met the group on a cruise last year. Mr Siddell said he was pleased with the turnout and how much everybody enjoyed the afternoon. He expressed thanks to the All Sorts, the volunteers who drove people from the outlying villages to the centre and to those who helped in the kitchen, making the afternoon a success.  Earlier in the day there had been a taster yoga session held at The Anchorage Centre, where a group of ten enjoyed the relaxation of the session. Another taster session is planned for today (Thursday), from 10.30am to 12pm. For more information on all the activities Tavistock Area Support Services provide call 01822 616958.
