THE Princetown Dartmoor Challenge Group will be carrying out its 15th sponsored walk in aid of Cancer and Leukaemia In Children. The 30-mile walk takes place on Saturday and Sunday April 29 and 30, and starts at Princetown. This year the group is introducing a ?shorty walk? which means it will only do ten miles each day for those walkers who will find the 15 miles too much. Walkers are divided into groups and each one will be led by an experienced walker. In addition, support minibuses will shadow to provide water and help in the recovery of anyone who needs to drop out for any reason. This event will raise funds to assist the South West branch of CLIC/Sargent in their efforts to alleviate the distress caused by cancer and leukaemia in young children. Last year Dartmoor Challenge Group raised more than £15,000 and hopes to at least match that sum this year.
