TAVISTOCK College will be celebrating its PE students and their hard work both at the college and in the local community at the college's PE Faculty Sports Awards this evening (Thursday).

The evening will provide an opportunity students from year 7 to 13 to appreciate achievements together through a variety of awards and also hear from an Olympic athlete to inspire this future generation, to show that they can achieve in the sporting arena.

The awards will focus on several areas, including effort and achievement in curriculum, outstanding practical performance in the community, contribution to the college through sport, team of the year, Tavistock College Sports Centre community award, achievement in examination qualifications, A Level PE, BTEC sport level two and three, BTEC public services level two and three and the Alumni award to celebrate success of past students in the sporting arena.

This will lead to the unveiling of a shortlist of eight students for the main sports awards trophy.
