COMEDY will be coming to Hatherleigh this April with a special event to herald this summer's Hatherleigh Festival.

Three top comedians will be performing at an evening of comedy at the Hatherleigh Community Centre on Saturday April 16. The night is being organised by the organisers of Hatherleigh Festival and Just The Tonic.

Headlining the night will be Wil Hodgson, a stand-up comedian — but not the kind that does puns or banter — known for his bright pink hair, love of retro girls' toys, including My Little Pony, and odd outlooks on life.

Supporting Wil will be Joey Page, an eccentric, undiscovered gem, and Caroline Mabey, a kooky and quirky stand-up comedian.

Tickets for the evening cost £10, and the event is open to over 18s only.

Tickets are available from Hatherleigh Pottery and the paper shop, and the box office number is 01837 810624.

The festival runs between July 28 and 31, and will host a range of activities for all ages and tastes, from sport to a book club, and live music to church services and dancing. Further details are available at http://www.hatherleighfestival.co.uk">www.hatherleighfestival.co.uk
