The Dartmoor Arts and Crafts Show returns to Princetown County Primary School — the venue where it was established and where it has extended its reputation for excellence by attracting leading artists and craft workers from Devon and South East Cornwall.
The event, from 10am to 5pm on August 7 to 16, will again feature around 50 arts and crafts experts displaying works and demonstrating their skills, and special exhibitions of work by the Embroiderers' Guild — Exeter, and Thread Vision — Quilters.
There will be polished stone work by Michael Cutler, primitive and naïve artworks by Ursula Radford, wood turning and carving by members of the Tavy Turners and Carvers' Club, steel work and photographic illustrations by David Cook.
Also on offer will be textile art, patchwork, oil painting, beadwork quilting, jewellery, pottery, ceramics, watercolours, pyrography and sugar craft and lace work.
Taster sessions and short workshops are another feature of the event. Details can be obtained from the organisers by calling 01822 833946 or email victor@briggs607.
