THEIR very own version of panto Jack and the Beanstalk will be performed by Stoke Climsland Amateur Theatrical Society next month with a host of new faces plus the return of some regulars. Directed by Ann Gardiner and John Prescott and produced by Roger Braintree, the show can be seen in Stoke Climsland Parish Hall on February 15, 16, 22 and 23. Set in Regency England, with sumptuous costumes to match, Jack and his mother are seen struggling to find rent to pay the greedy squire, Sir Filthy Lucre. When Jack returns home from market, having sold the precious family cow for only a handful of beans, the stage is set for an action packed and torrid tale of romance, chivalry, betrayal, greed and gluttony — all helped by plenty of audience participation. Tickets are available from Stoke Climsland and Luckett Post Offices.
