CHEESE lovers are in for a treat later this month, as the annual Tavistock Real Cheese Fair comes to town.

This will be the fifth cheese fair organised by Tavistocks Country Cheeses, and is set to be a cheese eating, cheese talking and cheese loving event.

There will be live music, delicious cheese to taste and wine and cider to wash it down with.

Elise Jungheim from Country Cheeses said: It has gained significant importance in the artisan cheese world and focuses predominantly on the West Country.

People travel surprising distances to come, in fact I have just posted off a brochure to Australia.

Brochures for the event are available at Country Cheeses in Market Road, and all the cheeses on show at the fair will be available to buy from the shop.

The cheese fair takes place in Tavistock Town Hall on Saturday August 28, from 9am to 5pm and Sunday August 29, from 10am to 4pm.
