THE popular South West Forest Woodfair is to be held again at Roadford Lake this year.
The event, organised in partnership with South West Lakes Trust, will be held on the southern flank of the lake on Saturday, July 10.
The Woodfair promotes and displays the many and varied aspects of the woodland economy in the South West. It presents information on a wide range of woodland-based products and services.
The Woodfair is also a valuable marketing exercise for exhibitors, offers excellent networking opportunities and provides an entertaining day out for those with an interest in woodland and related issues.
In addition to an exhibition of rural skills and the environmental and nature conservation benefits of woodlands, there will be demonstrations, competitions, children?s entertainment and a variety of events.
A prize draw will offer a fine Shaker-style console table, sponsored and handmade by Edward Hopkins, of Dartmoor Furniture.
Admission to the Woodfair is £10 for adults, £4 OAPs and free for under 16s. Car parking is free.
Last year?s Woodfair attracted some 3,000 visitors to see more than 120 exhibitors. Feedback suggests it was seen as an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
