THE LIONS' Club of Callington will be hoping for more sweet success when it stages the 33rd Honey Fair on Wednesday October 5.

Honey Fair has raised thousands of pounds for local charities over the years and brings hundreds of people into the town.

As well as the central honey attractions there is always plenty of other interest, including the children's art competition, which attracts around 900 entries, the shop window competition, the Rowland's funfair, town criers' competition, exhibitions and refreshments.

Traders and charity stalls will fill the streets and fortune tellers, street entertainers and clowns will add to the fun.

The famous honey cream teas will be provided in the town hall with organ music by St Mary's Church, and Callington Royal British Legion will be celebrating the 90th anniversary of the RBL with an exhibition.

Parking will be available in the Saltash Road Car Park.

The two town centre car parks and the entire length of New Road will be closed to traffic on Honey Fair Day.

Buses will run from the temporary bus stop in Liskeard Road, adjacent to the bowling club.
