KNIGHTSTONE Tea Room in Yelverton will be the venue for the an RAF Harrowbeer Archives Open Weekend on May, 5, 6 and 7.
On view will be wartime artefacts, photographs and documents, including the operational record books for Harrowbeer and squadrons based there.
Various military vehicles will be in attendance, together with a variety of stalls such as model aircraft, books, toys and games.
Volunteers from the RAF Harrowbeer Interest Group will have their photographic display about the airfield on show and will be opening the air-raid shelter in the restored dispersal bay to visitors.
Those wanting to get a flavour of the day-to-day life of the airfield can take a free guided walk around the airfield, at approximately 1pm each afternoon. Visitors will also be able to buy a copy of the HIG's book on the wartime history of Harrowbeer.
RAF Harrowbeer was operational between 1941 and 1946. Many different nationalities flew from Harrowbeer, mostly RAF Squadrons but also Fleet Air Arm and US Navy.
The airfield was eventually demolished in 1961, following the decision that it would not become a new Plymouth airport.
