AN AFTER-school club run at Lady Modiford?s School in Walkhampton has been praised for its work by education inspectors from OFSTED.

The Playlines Club received a report describing 13 of the 14 day care standards as ?good? which is the highest level.

The report praised the quality of care which is provided in a safe and secure environment every school day from 3.20pm to 6pm and commented on the operational plan which ?worked well.?

Staff were described as committed and motivated, planning a wide range of activities which enabled children to use their imagination and make their own choices.

The inspectors went on to say that the children behaved well, were happy and actively engaged.

Chairman of the After-School Committee Jane Johnston said: ?We are delighted by this very positive OFSTED report, which reflects the dedication and expertise of the staff and the enthusiastic support of the committee.
