ADVISERS from West Devon Borough Council will be out and about in local communities next month.

Residents are encouraged to come along to the drop-in sessions and chat with an officer from the council, who can answer a wide-range of queries about public services.

Some sessions will be attended by a variety of partner agencies such as Action on Hearing Loss (formerly RNID), who will be providing information regarding deaf awareness issues and showcasing a selection of assistance products and services.

Also included on some dates will be representatives from Devon Wheels 2 Work, a not-for-profit company offering long term motorcycle and moped loans to enable people to access employment, training and social opportunities.

Okehampton area residents with limited access to transport are invited to meet with an Okehampton and District Community Transport adviser on September 8 in Belstone Village Hall. Okehampton and District Community Transport offer services such as ring and ride and day trips.

On September 9, Dartmoor National Park officers will be in Chagford to hear the views of West Devon residents and talk about their current planning consultation document.
