DUCHY College Stoke Climsland is giving prospective students of all ages and abilities the chance to explore their future career options at the college's first information morning of the year on Saturday, January 25, between 10am and noon.

The event will give potential students and their families the opportunity to take a tour of the campus, meet staff and current students and find out more about the range of courses on offer.

Specialist support staff will also be on hand to give advice on transport, accommodation and finances.

Duchy College Stoke Climsland offers full and part-time courses in agriculture, animal management, business, countryside, gamekeeping, horticulture, land-based engineering and construction plant, early years and play work, forest school, equine, food manufacturing, outdoor pursuits, public services, sport and skills for life.

Olivia Sharples from Gunnislake is working towards a childcare diploma at Duchy College.

She said: 'I chose to study at Duchy because it has the Forest School which offers outdoor learning, combined with indoor play and nursery facilities.

'The staff and students are really helpful and when I finish I hope to get a job as a nursery assistant.'
