A POST Office worker from Bere Alston this week admitted stealing more than £9,000 over a seven-month period.

Julie Edgar, 35, pleaded guilty to stealing £9,389.25 between January and August 2012 from the Tavistock Spar and Post Office store.

Edgar admitted the one charge and she was bailed by Plymouth Crown Court on Tuesday until later this month, when she will be sentenced after reports are prepared.

Judge Paul Darlow said he was making no promises to her about the disposal of the case.
