TAVISTOCK marathon man Adam Holland took part in the Human Race off road Merrell TuffMan 10k in East Sussex on Friday.
It was the first time Adam has run for his new team votwo.co.uk
The races take in the breathtaking and stunning Pippingford Park estate in the heart of Ashdown Forest.
It consisted of mostly woodland and heath with an abundance of natural wildlife — the venue is the jewel in the crown for the Human Race off Road Series.
The race started close to the manor house and took Adam out into the vast Ashdown Forest.
The course was ungulate through a thick canopy of pine trees, before looping back over the hilly terrain and back out into the forest where it was muddly, wet and cold, before reaching the tough long uphill finish. Adam was neck and neck with another runner but worked hard to beat him over the finish line to take first place.
Adam will be going to Sandown Park on February 14 to take part in the Saucory 10k and to have a look at the TCR show, plus meet up with the votwo.co.uk team.
