AIR cadets from Tavistock and Okehampton took part in a full activity day at RMB Chivenor last weekend.
All the cadets flew in the Vigilant powered glider, taking control in the air.
Other sections on the base experienced were the Defence Fire Service station, where demonstrations on aviation rescues were shown, and 22 Squadron Search and Rescue HQ where hands on briefings were given on both the Sea King helicopter and air traffic control systems.
There was a visit by the Royal Jordanian Air Force display team who generously gave souvenirs to all the cadets.
The air cadets meet on Mondays in Okehampton and Tuesdays in Tavistock.
