WEST Devon Scouts enjoyed an action-packed water-based camp at Cawsand in Cornwall last week. Masterminded by Maggi Williams of Princetown, the youngsters had a go at surfing, yachting, kayaking and swam off the sandy beach at Whitsand Bay. The assault course, which stretches across the small Pier Cellars harbour, and other sports filled the evenings. On the final day Plymouth Museum visited the camp with their ?Outreach Roadshow? and expertly brought to life the conditions experienced in Plymouth during World War One. Blessed with perfect weather throughout, the scouts returned home happy but exhausted. West Devon Scouts expressed thanks to the groups and businesses who supported the camp with funding, products and assistance.
