YOUR item on the possible extension of Blackdown Nursing Home should fill all lovers of Dartmoor with fear. A 22-bedroom extension to the home which will be clearly visible from the moor was recommended to be approved by Jo Burgess of Dartmoor National Park. This blemish would create increased traffic on the A386 and make the current entrance to the home much more dangerous and must be stopped. If this abomination with no architectural benefit were to be passed, whatever next? Luckily, the committee considering the issue recently deferred a decision until next month.
