MORWELLHAM Quay?s second annual evening of acoustic music takes place on Saturday, July 5.

Once again the evening features a blend of traditional and contemporary acoustic music and this year the event is headlined by ?Jiggerypipery?, the North Devon-based quintet which includes ex-Boomtown Rats? drummer, Simon Crowe.

Their line up also includes fiddle, mandocello and bagpipes and the resulting sound is truly unique and inspirational.

Also featuring at the festival will be Plymouth-based Irish folk band ?Mad Dog? and local acoustic quartet ?Hannah and the Madding Crowd?.

The setting for the festival could not be more dramatic.

The restored ships, railways and dock of the Victorian Devon Great Consols Quay combine with the startling natural beauty of the river and hills to produce a unique backdrop.

What better way to spend a summer evening than strolling by the river listening to beautiful music?

Tickets for the event, priced £8 in advance or £10 on the night, are available from Morwellham Quay, telephone 01822 832766.
