A FORMER Tavistock College pupil has won a place at Worcester City FC Football Academy. Miles McLaughlin, 16, had trials with the Northern Conference Club, who run the Football Academy in association with Worcester College of Technology. The two-year course is also a national diploma in sports and exercise sciences and the young footballers will be trained and coached by former Coventry City player Ray Woods. Ray Woods said that Miles, who plays centre half, has potential, and selected him to travel for the youth team?s first game of the season against Birmingham City?s youth side. The teenager now lives with his family at Pershore, Worcester, where they have relocated.
