HUNDREDS of visitors to Kelly House, near Lifton, stocked up on fleece, yarns, woolly warmers and many other products from the wool trade at the recent annual Woolly Weekend.
The event was held in conjunction with Children's Hospice South West and raised an estimated £700 for the charity.
A selection of stall holders were located around the ground floor of the Georgian mansion, showcasing products made in Devon and Cornwall.
The centrepiece of the show was a ten-feet tall knitted dragon, named Archibald, presented by veteran project leader Alison Murray. Produced as part of a fairy tale installation, the dragon (far right) stood head and shoulders above visitors as they took part in free-form knitting workshops.
Also working at the show was Malcolm Weir, an experienced and knowledgeable craftsman, who was inundated with questions as he sat weaving on a table loom, and selling his hand-made scarves, rugs and blankets.
Sophia Kelly, organiser of the event, said: 'We were very pleased with the turnout.
'The stall holders all seemed happy and plenty of visitors left with bags of the best woollies available.'
The Woolly Weekend will be held again next year on October 11 and 12.
