ANYONE who enjoys singing and wants to make some new friends may like to attend the Parish Rooms in Tavistock on April 24 where the Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir will be recruiting.

The choir was started several years ago and has around 30 members performing at least 25 concerts a year on both sides of the Tamar.

Treasurer of the group Bob Mitchell said there were four sections in the choir — bass, baritone, second tenors and top tenors. He said experience of singing in a choir was not necessary to join the group.

'The camaraderie is very good so the choir is good for people who enjoy the social side of things as well as the singing,' he said.
