ST MICHAEL'S Church in Princetown will be opened for a community carol service on Thursday, December 10.
The church, which was built by French and American Prisoners of War from Dartmoor Granite in 1813, was closed in 1994 and taken over by the Church of England's Historic Buildings Trust. It is only open for a few special occasions throughout the year.
The service at 6pm and will be followed by mulled wine and mince-pies. Those attending to join in the carol singing are advised to wrap up warm as there is no heating in the church!
