WHAT a treat for my memory, to see those photos of Ivor Evely and others, people I knew when I was a boy in Stoke Climsland.

When I was growing up, I had dreams of playing football for Stoke, but my family moved away when I was 13.

We moved to Okehampton, where I was told at school that football was a ‘sissy’s’ game, and everyone there played rugby!

Thankyou, Ivor, for sending those photos in. Those were grand days in Stoke, in the 50’s.
