A TOP class bottle of wine was sold for £100 at a Chagford auction last weekend.
The bottle of Premier Grand Cru Classé Chateau Latour 1991 was donated by Chagford resident Richard Davies.
The money raised will go towards refurbishment at St Michael's Church in Chagford.
The proceeds from three other fine estate bottles of wine which were also donated and sold for £70 will also go toward the church fund.
The organ at the church is currently in need of a complete overhaul and rebuild, which is set to cost £75,000.
So far more than £60,000 has been raised through fundraising events.
Dartmoor auctioneer John Colpoys-Wood said the money raised will help make a big difference
He said: 'The organ has had nothing spent on it for over 150 years, it's never been touched because it's just inaccessible.
'We know that the last bit of fundraising is going to be the hardest, but we are doing really well.
'We held a number of fundraising events last year, including concerts and we've had lots of donations.
'The auction at the weekend was exceptionally good and went really well.'
The next auction will be held on Saturday, April 24 at 10am in the Chagford Jubilee Hall.
