LAST Saturday we had a special Christmas gift fair in the Pannier Market in support of the Children's Hospice South West.
The market was beautifully decorated and the traders provided a wonderful variety of goods and, in addition, master chef Peter Gorton from the Horn of Plenty provided some mouthwatering ideas for Christmas parties.
The Stannary Brass Band entertained everybody with Christmas music, and Father Christmas gave presents to the many youngsters who came to see him.
Hopefully we helped raise a good amount for the hospice — the final figure has yet to be calculated. I would like to thank all of those who gave their time so selflessly, and my staff who worked so hard to make the day a success.
