AN invitation has been opened to anyone who would like to join the Tavistock United Reformed Church for a full Christmas dinner on Christmas Day.

The eighth Christmas Day lunch is open to anyone who would like to attend — organisers just need to know who is coming.

The day's event starts at 11.30am, following the 10am Christmas morning service, to which all are welcome, and after some entertainment, the event will finish at 3.45pm.

Anyone who would like to attend should call 01822 614613 with names, addresses, telephone numbers and whether transport is required.

Organisers need to know final numbers by Monday, December 23.

The lunch is free thanks to the generosity of charities, businesses and individuals in Tavistock who donate money and food for the event. There is also a willing band of volunteers who give up their own plans for the day to help.
