AMATEUR dramatic society ANTS will be performing Terence Rattigan's 'Separate Tables' at North Tawton Town Hall from Thursday September 23 September to Saturday September 25.
The play takes place in a sea view hotel in Bournemouth in the late 1950s. The play includes such interesting characters as a formidable lady resident, her long suffering daughter, an alcoholic ex- politician, a hotel manageress trying to keep everyone happy while looking for happiness herself, a forthright medical student, his astute intended, an eccentric racing tipster, a well intentioned but downtrodden widow, a mysterious ex-headmaster and two waitresses with distinctly different approaches to customer service!
Directed by Nigel Davies, the play starts at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets cost £6 per adult and £4 per child and are available from North Tawton Post Office. Seating will once again be a mixture of rowed seating and tables and the audience are invited to bring their own drinks with some light refreshments available on the night.
