THE Proclaimers are back on the road with a 40-date UK and Ireland tour this October and November, heading to Plymouth Pavilions on Sunday October 21. For Craig and Charlie it is more of a homecoming gig. You would think you couldn?t get more Scottish than these two brothers, but you?d be wrong, as until the age of eight they were brought up near St Ives in Cornwall, where they have fond memories of the South West. It?s 20 years since the Proclaimers made their legendary TV debut on The Tube, performing the classic song ?Letter From America?. Back then, the charts were dominated by the likes of Rick Astley and Sinita and the response to Craig and Charlie Reid, two impassioned brothers singing their hearts out in their own accents about serious political issues was extraordinary.
