NOT surprisingly when one mentions reggae it’s Bob Marley that immediately springs to mind such has been the legacy this Jamaican musical giant left behind and the seven-piece tribute band Legend has certainly moved mountains to recreate the flavour and very essence of a Marley experience.

Legend are dedicated to the life and music of the late, great Bob Marley. This dynamic band, led by the charismatic Michael Anton Phillips has a pedigree second to none, whose members have worked with such reggae greats as The Mighty Diamonds, Dennis Brown, Rankin Roger, The Beat, George, Desmond Decker and many more they are no strangers to The Wharf either where they will be appearing this Saturday (April 23).

Proprietor Angela Court said: ‘This band are something very special, it’s a real joy to have them in our venue, they go down so well and are so popular, such fine musicians, as soon as people leave afterwards they are asking us when we’re rebooking them!’

You can look forward to stepping back in time hearing those hits that shaped the reggae scene, to include Get Up Stand Up For Your Rights, One Love, Is this Love, Redemption Song, No Woman No Cry, Stir it Up and Stop the Train.
