JOHN and Vera Bray of Okehampton celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary with an afternoon tea for family and friends at Fairplace Church on Saturday afternoon (September 14).

John and Vera were married on Saturday, September 14 1959 (see picture right).

John grew up on Stockley Farm near Okehampton and Vera at Knowle Lodge in Okehampton. They met at the local church.

The couple have lived in Okehampton all their married life and have three children and nine grandchildren.

They invited friends as well as family along to their tea party at Fairplace Church to celebrate their special day with them.
