FIFTY-six Tavistock College students in years 7 to 9 wowed the crowds for the college's lower school production of Alice (Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass). The students acted, danced and sang their way through a complex and intriguing script. Since March, under the direction and choreography skills of Jess Giles and the musical direction and composition of Hannah Stephenson, the cast worked to produce a show of professional standard while incorporating their own ideas. The set was designed by Alicia McKeown and year 9 and 12 creative arts students, and saw UV lighting being used to enhance the surreal feel of the production. The cast were proud of their efforts, with one student saying: 'All our hard work has paid off — it was such hard work but I'm so pleased we did it!' Audience members said it was 'amazing and professional' and 'fantastic, creative and a triumph'.
