SOUTH Tawton primary school?s summer fayre and barbecue will be taking place this Friday from 4pm until 6.30pm. Included in this year?s programme is a pet show, an African drumming recital, dances by the children, and a range of stalls selling plants, cakes, ?Body Shop? products, ?In House? goodies and lots more. The fayre will culminate with its infamous egg-tossing competition, when the school will be trying for a world record for most people tossing eggs at once. There will also be a raffle, for which tickets are already on sale at the village store, Oxenham Arms and Taw River Inn. The school would be very grateful for any donations of plants, cakes or books for the stalls, which can be dropped off at the school office on July 12 or 13 ? however there will be no bric-a-brac stall this year. They are also keen to find volunteers who might help with setting up the fair, tidying up afterwards, or helping with the barbecue ? anyone who can help should call 07890 042386.
