A CREDIT union set up for the people of Dartmoor and district is expected to commence trading by the end of the year.
It will go under the banner of the Plough and Share Credit Union by joining forces with an existing credit union operating in the South Molton area.
Those behind the initiative believe this will make the best use of of the resources available.
In the meantime a Saving Club with collection points in Chagford (The Courtyard Cafe on Thursdays from 7.30pm to 9pm) and Okehampton (The Turret Room above the Market Hall on Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon), has been started.
There is also an information point on Saturdays at Okehampton Market from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
