Dart A 2
Tavistock A 7
TAVISTOCK A travelled to Totnes this week to take on Dart A. Attacking from the outset, Holland hit the outside of the goal only ten seconds in! Dart were going to have to work hard!
The goals did not come easily to start, and it was not until the 19 minute before Josh Reynolds hit the backboards — much to the relief from the visitors.
Minutes later Adam Holland put away a second, before a sudden break from the home team caught Tavistock on the back foot when Dart's centre forward saw his chance and slipped the ball under the keeper.
Undeterred, Tavistock pressed on and shortly before half time Reynolds scored a second, making The half time score 3-1.
Early in the second half scored the goal of the season to date, a reverse stick strike from an acute angle. The half backs pressed forward, putting a lot of pressure on the Dart defence.
Tom Unwin made it 5-1 from the left half position, shortly followed by Pete Robson from the right. The Dart striker saw another moment of opportunity and another break led to their second goal.
Unwin for the visitors was not finished however and another well deserved goal to put the visitors 7-2 ahead.
An unfortunate collision meant the Dart striker needed an ambulance. With only four minutes to play the umpires and captains agreed to end the match rather than risk injury to players.
