OKEHAMPTON Golf Club pair Dennis Edwards and Richard Johnson scored a memorable victory at Holsworthy in the Daily Mail foursomes.
Taking an early 5-hole lead over the home pairing, they came out winners 5 and 4. They now wait to hear who they play next and, more importantly, where.
At Okehampton, a three-ball team competition for the John Norman Trophy, was played under a stableford format with all three scores to count.
In bright sunshine, the 93 participants played a course which is starting to look good in the early spring. Start times favoured no team in particular and the principle results were as follows:
