THE manager of a Tavistock building society branch is in training for the London Marathon on April 13, which she will be running in aid of St Luke?s Hospice.
Kate Hoffen, 36, is the manager of the Bradford and Bingley branch and this will be her first marathon.
She has run the Plymouth half marathon for the last four years and trains with the Tamar Totters in Saltash.
?I?ve been running for about ten years, but have been training seriously since Christmas. It?s been extremely hard work and I?ve been sticking to a strict diet,? Kate said, who hoped all the effort would be ?very rewarding? when it came to the big day.
