WITH regard to the reply from the gentleman in Whitchurch Road regarding the EcoCar taking up valuable parking funds from West Devon, I would like to point out that since his reply about three months ago the car has moved once — this was when it had to go for Goose Fair.

This white elephant is clearly not needed and has no interest to the members of the town. I have written to the company concerned asking for details of their bookings and agreement with the council and they have failed to reply in eight weeks.

If you have a current driving license and insurance then you will surely have a car. If not, then surely you do not feel safe to drive anymore and this is totally reflected in the lack of movement of this vehicle.

I am sorry if the gent that replied feels that it is an asset to the town but I am afraid this has gone beyond a joke now — this is a luxury I am afraid we can no longer afford to prop-up.
