I WOULD like to say a huge thank you for all the support I have received from customers and other traders following the article in the Tavistock Times (August 27 ‘Traders’ parking ticket outrage’).

Many people, it seems, have suffered under this DCC traffic enforcement scheme, which appears to favour their coffers rather than improve traffic problems.

In response to Jill White’s letter (Times, September 3), I was not parking but loading in Brook Street. I have my own space paid for annually. However, loading at 4.50pm when most commercial vehicles have left the loading bay is another issue.

Traders are hounded by these enforcement officers, yet we pay our rates and work long hours. A little understanding of how this town can work together would help. Not a lot to ask.
