TAVISTOCK Royal British Legion (RBL) members gave a talk on the history of the town’s war memorial to pupils from Buckland Monachorum’s St Andrew’s Primary School. Malcolm Christie and Chris Smerdon from the RBL explained to the youngsters the reason for Remembrance Day and what it represented, as well as why there were names on the war memorial. This was followed by a question and answer session at the West Devon Club.
