STAFF from Okehampton Hospital recently bade a fond farewell to ward sister Annie Leach after 22 years of loyal service. Annie has retired from the NHS after 40 years, 22 of those in Okehampton. She has seen much change at the hospital, having moved from the old cottage hospital to its new home. She was joined by staff from the hospital and old colleagues for a party at the White Hart on August 1. Melissa Collins, healthcare assistant, said: 'All the staff and everyone at the hospital will really miss Annie. 'She has been the heart of the hospital for so long, and it was sad to say goodbye after so long. We wish her all the best with her retirement.'
