NATIONAL Youth Work Week is running this week until November 7, with West Devon Youth Services providing a range of free and exciting opportunities for young people in Okehampton and surrounding areas. At North Tawton Youth and Community Centre, on Saturday, November 5, between 2pm and 5pm, young people aged 13 to 19 will be able to try their hand at both graffiti art and pottery, with free admission and free food. Also on Saturday, November 5, there is a not to be missed opportunity to meet your local youth worker outside Somerfield supermarket on Saturday morning from 10am to noon to find out more about local youth projects. Okehampton Young Parents? Group will be holding a free beauty and pamper morning between 11am and 1pm at the Ockment Centre, on Monday, November 7. All parents aged 21 and under are welcome to drop in. The Youth Service?s regular projects will also continue with GAL ? the girls? only group ? meeting on Monday, at the Ockment Centre between 6.30pm and 8.30pm and the Oke Youth Skaters? Group meeting Wednesday at Directions at 6pm. West Devon Youth Service provides opportunities and services for young people aged 11 to 25 in Okehampton and the surrounding villages, as part of the countywide Devon Youth Service.
