FUN for all the family is on offer at the National Trust's Cotehele House this month, which is hosting a Countryside Day on Saturday August 30.

The day includes a talk and display by The Screech Owl Sanctuary who will be bringing a range of birds of prey.   Wood turning and chair making demonstrations will be taking place and there will be a number of experts on hand from the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, The Barn Owl Trust and Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group. The newly refurbished Discovery Centre will be open all day and refreshments will be available from The Edgcumbe Arms.

There will also be an opportunity to go aboard Shamrock, the Tamar sailing barge. The event is free and open from 11am until 4pm.
