Cullompton U11s 0 Tavistock U11s 42 AFTER last week?s defeat at Plymstock, Tavistock were eager to improve. From the kick off they applied pressure to the Cullompton line. Jonty Newton opened the scoring following a powerful driving run. Within minutes it was two tries up when Martin Budden scored in the corner, assisted by a fine pass from Henry Kisby. Cullompton had a period of pressure when Tavistock defended stoutly. Eventually the ball reached Rhys Davis, on his own five metre line. He ran the length of the pitch for a superb individual score. William Coulton made it 28-0 just before the break with a pacey run in the corner. In the second period Cullompton camped in the Tavistock half for ten minutes, without being able to breach their defence. Henry Salmon and Connor Williams made good tackles. Tavistock?s best move of the game involved eight passes from one side of the pitch to the other. Coulton got his second from a great fix and give by Sam Northmore. In the final minutes, as Cullompton tired, Will Coulton completed his hat-trick with a run to the corner.
