MAY I draw your readers' attention to the West Devon Handyperson Scheme, which is run by Care and Repair of West Devon?
I am a registered disabled person and have taken part in this scheme on several occasions. The scheme is open to all West Devon residents who are over 60 or are disabled. The service is first class and affordable to all.
With the current situation regarding the financial situation that could give rise to possible cutbacks in council spending, I feel I must point out that this could be another place that could be affected.
Please remember that the people who run the scheme are good listeners and will advise you on every angle.
I must also add that if we don't use this scheme we may well lose it altogether.
