FIFTY years of 'Friendship through Flowers' is being celebrated by Tavistock Flower Club.

In its golden anniversary year the club is organising a series of distinctive floral arrangements at Tavistock Library, starting on April 21 for four weeks.

Each week there will be a different creation by one of the club's talented members and this will link with the National Flower Arranging Day on May 6 to promote NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies).

Tavistock Flower Club meets at 2.30pm on the last Wednesday in the month at the United Reformed Church Hall, Russell Street, where members enjoy a wide range of demonstrations as well as opportunities to try their hand at a competition and enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa. New members are always welcome.
