IT was so good to have the company of so many from the village for our coffee morning on July 30.

It proved a fun event, on the occasion there was no raffle, but there was a football world cup quiz, being the 50th anniversary of the great day in 1966, when England came out on top!

It was also the tenth anniversary of our Rector’s Ministry in Mary Tavy and Peter Tavy and how good to have John and Stella Higman with us. With them at the helm, our two parish churches are in good hands for the future and we are also so very grateful for them. John’s knowledge of football is also quite amazing!

With the sale of some lovely homemade cakes and produce, plus donations, £120 was raised for our chapel funds.

Our autumn coffee morning and craft market is on October 29. To reserve a table, call 820575. All will be most welcome!
