THE parishioners of Lifton have spent the past month getting to know their new rector following the appointment of the Rev Andrew Pagett in June.
The disparate country parish offers a marked difference from Mr Pagett?s previous post in Paignton and he is thoroughly enjoying the change.
He said: ?I have spent the past month getting to know my parishioners ?it?s a very nice area, very friendly.
?Covering the area means lots of driving around country lanes which are quiet and peaceful, and it?s such a difference from my home in Paignton where I lived between the main road and the railway!?
Mr Pagett took over the Lifton post from the Rev John Heath and serves the United Benefice of Lifton, Broadwoodwidger, Lewtrenchard, Thrushelton, Stowford and Kelly with Bradstone.
