STUDENTS Laura Floc’h and Vincent Le Duff from Brest and Roscoff have been enjoying a five week workplace experience at the Oxfam store in Tavistock.
As part of their first year of studies in technical sales for business, the two French students were required to do a work experience placement, and both said that they were very pleased to have chosen Oxfam Tavistock because the employees were very friendly, sociable and kind.
The pair had also said that the store manager, Michelle Tait, and deputy manager, Sue Wheeler, had been very kind, and also very patient in helping them to improve their English and business skills.
During their stay, Laura and Vincent were also able to have some work experience at the Wharf Arts and Entertainment centre in Tavistock, where they helped Dr Ann Pulsford to organise the Monday lunchtime lectures. The students said that this was also a great place to work as the lectures were very interesting.
When discussing their time spent in Tavistock, the students agreed that they would both return to France with an excellent impression of Tavistock and the people.
